Usmle has released the 2008 and 2009 Schedules for Reporting Step 2 CS Results on their website.
It is going to take about 3 to 4 months to get the result. To give an example, if you took it on the 1st of Jan, your test result will be reported between Mar 26 Apr 23. That is about 4 months which is a long time. SO, you should plan accordingly so that your result is out in time. For those going for the next match, your best chance would be to have the result by the time of application which is Sep. first. So, if you take the exam between May 18 through Jul 5, then your result will be out any time between Aug 6 to Sep 3. Our advice is to take the exam so that by the time you apply, your result is out.
